Believe it or not, but this is a shot that I took with my Google T-mobile phone (and uploaded to Twitpics for my Twitter feed.) Today was such an amazing afternoon, even my little phone camera couldn't mess it up!
This shot is looking north from a point just about 20 km before the finish of the Cape Argus Classic bicycle race. I can certainly remember red-lining here last year and was visualizing feeling much better for this year's Argus, just a month away.
I have stopped off in Cape Town for business meetings this evening and tomorrow, after a short stop-over in Bangkok. Tomorrow, Monday morning, I'm riding the entire Argus route before breakfast.
The MotionBased software says that this ride took place in Chiang Mai, but of course it did not. I think that the first trackpoint from the GPS device was in Chiang Mai. As much as I tried, there is no way to edit the GPS data to remove the errant trackpoint from the history.
Anyway, I had hoped to ride longer today, but had a bad headache and the road along the coast was so busy on a Sunday afternoon that it was a bit dangerous. So, I headed back to the hotel and have planned the longer ride for Monday morning.
